John Faieta, trombone, was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts and received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Boston University. John’s performing resume is as diverse as it is long. He has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra and most recently with The Cleveland Orchestra. The jazz and commercial ensembles he has performed with include The Rebirth Brass Band, John Allmark Big Band, the Hot Tamale Brass Band, Manuel Kaufman’s Jazz Orchestra and the Skatch Andersson Orchestra.

In 2019, Mr. Faieta retired as Associate Professor from the Berklee College of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee after 19 years. Faieta, an original member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, is rejoining the award winning ensemble after a 15 year hiatus. He is excited for the opportunity to again make music with the group that he helped to start while he was student at Boston University in 1985.
