ORIGINAL SLAVIC SOUL PARTY RECORDING

Sing Sing Cocek!  Arranged for brass quintet by Thomas Bergeron.  Composed by trumpeter Kenny Warren of Slavic Soul Party and recorded on their album NY Underground Tapes.  A variety of percussion can be added to this arrangement, and you can also rope in the audience. There are three main rhythms that the crowd can get into ... Quarter notes at measure 42, backbeats on 2+4 at measure 62 (under solo, creating a half-time feel), and the written syncopated rhythm at measure 82 (under the other solo).

Another suggestion ... This piece works great memorized, with the band playing/partying amongst the audience.

HAVE FUN!
